Refund Policy

Effective Date: 05/13/26 Business Name: SLP Tutor, a division of Musser Therapies, LLC We want you to feel confident when you purchase from SLP Tutor. This Refund Policy explains how refunds, cancellations, and payment requirements are handled for our tutoring services and online courses.

1. Online Courses and Focused Modules

   All course purchases grant immediate access to course content upon completed payment. Due to the digital nature of our courses, refund eligibility depends on how much content has been accessed. Within 7 days of purchase, with less than 25% of lessons accessed:
   • You may request a full refund minus payment processing fees.
   • Contact us at hi@SLPtutor.com with your order number.
   After 7 days, or after accessing 25% or more of course content:
   • The purchase is considered final and is non-refundable.
   • Course access continues through the end of your access period (6 months for full courses, 3 months for focused modules).
   Free courses (101 – Mini Intro to CSD):
   • No payment is required. No refund applies.
   Course access expiration:
   • Course access expires at the end of the purchased access period. Expired access is not refundable and cannot be extended. If you need additional time, you may repurchase the course at the current price.

2. Payment Requirements for Tutoring Sessions

   To reserve your tutoring session, payment must be received and confirmed at least 24 hours before your scheduled session start time. Your session is not confirmed until full payment has been received.
   • Payment must be completed no later than 24 hours before the scheduled session start time.
   • Sessions where payment is submitted within 24 hours of the scheduled start time will not be honored and are subject to cancellation without refund. For example, payment submitted within 5 minutes of the scheduled session start time will be treated as a no-show — the session will not proceed and no refund will be issued.
   • SLP Tutor reserves the right to cancel any session for which timely payment has not been received.

3. Single Tutoring Sessions

   Cancellations made more than 24 hours before the scheduled session time:
   • You will generally receive a 100% refund for that session, or you may choose to reschedule.
   • Refunds are issued at the reasonable discretion of SLP Tutor.
   Cancellations within 24 hours of the scheduled session time:
   • These are treated as a no-show.
   • The session is forfeited and no refund will be provided.
   No-shows / missed sessions:
   • If you do not attend your session at the scheduled time, the session is considered used and is non-refundable.
   • This includes sessions where payment was submitted late and the appointment was not re-confirmed by SLP Tutor.

4. Tutoring Packages (Multiple Sessions)

   When you purchase a package, you are buying a group of sessions at a discounted rate. All payment requirements above apply equally to package sessions.
   • Package sessions are subject to the same 24-hour payment and cancellation rules as single sessions.
   • If you cancel a session more than 24 hours in advance, that session can generally be rescheduled within the package period.
   • If you cancel within 24 hours or do not attend, that session is counted as used and is non-refundable.
   Unless otherwise stated, packages should be used within 6 months of purchase. Any unused sessions after this time may be forfeited and are not refundable.

5. Changes, Rescheduling, and Exceptions

   We understand that emergencies and unexpected events can happen. In special circumstances, SLP Tutor may, at our discretion:
   • Allow a one-time accommodation
   • Offer a rescheduled session or course access extension instead of a refund
   Any exception to this policy is made on a case-by-case basis and is not guaranteed. Prior exceptions do not create an obligation to extend the same accommodation in the future.

6. How Refunds Are Issued

   Approved refunds will be processed back to the original payment method used at checkout. Refund processing times may vary depending on your bank or payment provider. Please note: Refunds will be the payment amount minus the payment processing fee that SLP Tutor is charged by our payment processor for accepting the original payment.
